23 August 2023 at 13:27 Record amount of water in the water reservoirs The degree of filling in the water reservoirs in Eastern Norway was at the end of last week at 99.8 per cent. This is shown by the weekly statistics from NVE. 99.8 percent is the highest figure measured at this time of year in the last 25 years. For the country as a whole, the occupancy rate was 78.7 per cent, just above the median over the past 20 years of 78.6 per cent. The degree of filling shows how much water there is in the reservoirs and is important for what the electricity prices will be. This year there is 10 percentage points more water in the reservoirs than in the last two years, when electricity prices have been very high.
