The public prosecutor has, by order of the Attorney General, issued an indictment against a 30-year-old man for the murder of Sunniva Borgen in Åsane. It was the night before Sunday 12 September 2021 that the police moved out to an apartment at Nyborg in Åsane. The man is said to have stabbed Borgen several times inside the apartment. 23-year-old Sunniva Borgen died of her injuries. According to the indictment, the man also resisted arrest, and spat at the police officer who arrived at the scene.
