16 August 2023 at 20:48 Klæbo parked in long-distance running: – Chanceless Amund Riege was strongest in the sprint on the 54-kilometer long roller ski race during the Top Sports Week. – Taking the victory here was beyond all expectations, says Riege to news after the race. The Norwegian won ahead of French Thomas Joly after the goal photo. Riege was a tenth ahead. Even Northug was third. Big brother Petter Northug came in 42nd place, just over two minutes behind the winner. Johannes Høsflot Klæbo tried to move towards the end, but ended up behind the lead and the podium places. – I think it was fine. I got into a slightly wrong position at the end there, and then you have no chance, says Klæbo to news. The cross-country team says he is in charge of tomorrow’s practice, where the sprint is next. He adds that he will be ready for the 20-kilometer skiathlon at Granåsen on Friday.
