19 July 2023 at 15:21 New large seizure of narcotics at Bama The police and the Customs Agency were notified today of a major discovery of narcotics made at one of Bama’s warehouses. It was one of the employees who discovered it and reported it, the police write in a press release on Wednesday. This is one of several large drug seizures at Bama in the past year. The police are now investigating how large the seizure is, but it is probably around 600 kg of cocaine, with a street value of several hundred million kroner. The lot was discovered in a container that had previously arrived by ship to the port of Oslo from South America. The seizure may be related to the previous large seizures, and other large seizures in Europe recently. It is too early to say anything concrete about who was intended as the recipient of the delivery, but the police are working on several hypotheses, where one of the theories may be that this was not intended for Norway and the Norwegian market, based on, among other things, the quantity and the size of the fitting. However, they cannot rule out that the batch was intended for sale in Norway.
