The building, which is located on the main street in the center of Stokke, is still burning heavily. Parts of the building are said to be about to collapse. According to the fire service, there is a great risk of spreading. Fire alarms from the building are audible a good distance away from the fire. There is also a lot of smoke and open flames. The fire brigade are using a lift and pouring water down on the fire, it also looks like they are working on top of the roof. Bangs are also heard from the scene, says news’s reporter at the scene. Hope no one has been hurt, she says. – Good guy in the building The building contains both business and flats, says supervisor in the 110 central Marthin Haugen. – The last video we received from the scene shows that there is a good fire in the building, on the second floor. We have lots of resources in place there and more on the way, says Haugen. Large forces contribute to efforts to extinguish the fire. Those who were present when the fire started have been taken out by the public, while some have been evacuated by the fire service. – We do not have a full overview of everyone who is registered there as of now, but we continue just as if there were people inside. There will be quite a few apartments, says Haugen. There are open flames and a lot of smoke from the building. – In the last video, we see smoke coming from all parts of the building.
