It was a 24-year-old person who died. On Monday morning, AFP states that French police have arrested 157 people from the night’s riots. It is a fraction of what has been the number in the past. The riots come after a 17-year-old was shot dead by the police on Tuesday last week. The policeman who shot the teenager has been remanded in custody and charged with murder.
