Israel reports that it is carrying out a “comprehensive counter-terrorist operation”. On Twitter, the army writes that Israel will not accept that what they call terrorists are hiding in the city, which has a large permanent refugee camp. They write that the attack was aimed at “terrorist infrastructure”. Reuters writes that at least one missile was fired that destroyed a house in Jenin. Haaretz newspaper writes that a residential building and an assembly hall in the city were destroyed in the air attack. After the attack, unrest broke out in Jenin, and protesters set fire to car tires in the streets.
