They did not have a mobile phone with them. Operations manager Roger Litlatun in the Sør-West police district says that they do not know the sequence of events well yet, but are currently talking to the two boys. – At least they’ve been around for a while and haven’t made a sound or had phones, and then so much time has passed that we were worried, he says to news. In the evening, witnesses could report that they had seen the boys on a bus. So they were found near their homes. According to Litlatun, the boys should be safe. – They have not suffered any harm, they have had it just fine, he says. At 20.10 the police in Sør-Vest were notified that the boys had not returned home. The main rescue center then launched a search operation at sea. A search was carried out with a rescue helicopter and boats on the lake. Volunteers participate in the search on land. – We don’t quite know what they were going to do at sea. Their bikes are standing where they picked up the boat, and no one has spoken to them or had observations of them after they went out, rescue manager Andreas Bull at the Main Rescue Center in Southern Norway told NTB.
