In recent years, the grocery stores have tried to acquire property exclusively by registering blocks for competitors to establish themselves. The government will ban such negative servitudes in the regulations, so that it will be easier for new grocery stores to find good premises, according to what news has learned. Last summer, Industry Minister Jan Christian Vestre announced that the ban was on its way, and launched a hearing. As news has previously uncovered, for a number of years there has been a fierce battle between the grocery chains for attractive properties, in order to steal customers from each other.
