10 June 2023 at 00:57 Discovery of a dead person in Steinkjer A person has been found dead in an apartment in the center of Steinkjer. The police state that they know who the deceased is. No one has been arrested in connection with the case. – We don’t know what the cause of death is, says Stig Viken, the incident leader at the scene, to news. He says they were notified by relatives shortly after 11pm on Friday evening. They have cordoned off an area and are investigating the place and the apartment. There are circumstances that make this a suspicious death, and the police are working on several hypotheses. The police write on Twitter that there is nothing to indicate that there is a danger to other people. They carry out surveys, interrogations and forensic investigations. Forensic technicians from Trondheim arrived at the scene at 02:30. The deceased will be sent for an autopsy, informs the head of the investigation just before 03:00.
