In the last month, several of the employees have been offered severance packages, writes iTromsø. – Individual talks with employees are currently taking place, and we ask for your understanding that we cannot therefore comment in more detail at the present time, says press officer Anne Solsvik in Hurtigruten Norway to the newspaper. Hurtigruten is currently reorganizing the group’s companies. Large parts of the cruise activity are moved to London. Several positions related to sales and administration of Hurtigruten’s international cruises are transferred there. – The forwarding company will continue to grow from London, and therefore a process is now underway with employees in connection with those changes, says Solsvik. Hurtigruten’s Norwegian operations and the international expedition venture will be refined and a new holding company will be managed from London. – This is about cleaning up our two business areas, Skjeldam then told Dagens Næringsliv. The coastal route is not affected The company previously had its head office in Tromsø, before the group management moved to Oslo. According to the newspaper iTromsø, there are 60 employees at the office in Tromsø, but it is not clear how many positions will disappear from the city. Hurtigruten’s operation along the coast, the state-supported coastal route, is not affected by the reorganisation. – Hurtigruten Norge, which will continue to have offices in Oslo and Tromsø, as well as Kirkenes, will only increase the number of employees by adding new positions in this process, Solsvik says.
