– One of the people involved has life-threatening injuries. The other two involved have been discharged from hospital today. This is what police chief in Tvedestrand Morten Tobiassen tells news. On Thursday at 18.40 the police received a report that a lone car had driven off the road on Heiveien in Vegårshei. There were three people involved in the accident. The car ended up in the ditch and was partially on the roof. The accident was then described as serious. Fædrelandsvenne first reported that the three involved were under 18 years of age. Interrogation has begun The police have been in contact with two of the people involved after the accident. – We have started questioning some of the people involved, so we are continuing with that, says Tobiassen. The police’s forensic technicians and the accident and analysis group (UAG) from the National Road Administration were sent to the scene. Tobiassen says that investigations were carried out but that these are not ready yet. – We operate and investigate to find out what happened and what is the reason for the accident. The police are now continuing with questioning and would like tips from the public. – If any witnesses have seen this car from Vegårshei, we want them to contact the police so we can find out what happened before the accident. Mayor of Vegårshei municipality, Kjetil Torp, says that many are now strongly affected and that it is a difficult situation. – The crisis management had a meeting today and summarized the situation to ensure that all those directly involved receive follow-up, and there is good contact with the police, he writes. The municipality is now establishing a meeting place at Vegårshei Assembly Hall. – There the doors to the youth rooms open at 15.00 and is open beyond, at least until 18.00. The police and people from the school and the municipality’s crisis team will be present.
