13 May 2023 at 09:34 MDG will negotiate on Norwegian EU membership On Saturday, the national meeting of the Green Party (MDG) voted for the party to work for Norway to negotiate a membership agreement with the EU. 174 members voted for the resolution, 32 against. MDG has not previously taken a position on the EU issue, but this decision makes it one of the most EU-friendly parties in Norway. Only the parties Venstre and Høyre are in favor of Norwegian EU membership, but none of them are now actively working for a new referendum in the near future.
