Several Serbian media are reporting on the shooting in Mladenovac south of Belgrade. According to broadcaster RTC, eight have been killed and 13 injured after a perpetrator fired an automatic weapon at a group of people from a vehicle and fled the scene. Newspaper Informer writes that the perpetrator was surrounded by the police, but refused to surrender. He allegedly shot at the police. According to the newspaper, eight are seriously injured. There must be children among the victims. CNN reports that a 21-year-old man is wanted. Avisa Telegraf writes that a massive police hunt is underway and that shots have been heard in several places. Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic says it is a terrorist attack. The Ministry of Health has sounded the alarm and is asking people who can donate blood to come forward. The shooting takes place the day after a school shooting in which a 13-year-old killed eight students and a security guard. This led to Serbia’s government adopting a tightening of arms control.
