15,000 people come to Kongeparken this weekend, but the park lacks management – news Rogaland – Local news, TV and radio

On Friday morning, the first Russian buses roll into Kongeparken at Ålgård, just under three miles south of Stavanger. It is ready for the 36th “Landstreff Stavanger”, and this year the national event is bigger than ever. But among those who are responsible for running the Kongeparken itself and ensuring that the carousels spin, it has been anything but festive. Two key people in the management have recently been on sick leave due to the working situation in the park. From what news understands, the labor dispute has largely been about who has – and has had – the day-to-day responsibility at the country’s third largest amusement park. – I am on sick leave due to the working environment surrounding my position, Therese Oddsen confirmed on Tuesday this week. In the summer of 2020, she was presented as the new general manager of the Kongeparken company Rogaland Fritidspark. Therese Oddsen believes she has been general manager at Kongeparken for three years. Now she quits after a personnel conflict. Kongeparken’s owners, the Lund group, believe that she was never general manager after these six months, while Oddsen believes that she then got the position permanently. – In December 2020, I got a new contract where I continued as general manager, says Oddsen, who believes she has been Kongeparken’s general manager for the past three years. A few weeks ago, however, Oddsen was told that the park’s new chairman would also act as general manager. That’s when the conflict started, which was provisionally put to an end today: – Therese Oddsen has left Rogaland Fritidspark AS/Kongeparken to find new opportunities externally. Chairman Trond Adland wishes Therese the best of luck in the future and thanks her for her efforts for Kongeparken, not least during the demanding pandemic period, writes press contact for Lund Gruppen AS, Aasmund Lund in an email on Thursday. The announcement came in response to several questions news asked the group management about Oddsen’s position. It is Håkon Lund, the brother of press contact Aasmund Lund, who has been officially registered as general manager since 2020. He has been the park’s face for many years and is part of the Lund family, which has owned Kongeparken since 1997. – I have held the position of general manager in Kongeparken, even though Lund has been registered in the Brønnøysund registers, Oddsen told news on Tuesday. She has also spoken as general manager in the park to various media over three years. Håkon Lund has been the public face of Kongeparken, but has now been removed as general manager of the park. Photo: Pia Hetland / news On April 19 this year – just days before it was ready for a new season of carousels and noise – a new change took place: Håkon Lund was removed as general manager of the Brønnøysund registers, and the park is listed in official channels without a general manager. Working chairman – Trond Adland is working chairman of Rogaland Leisure Park. Håkon Lund has been general manager since 2009, with the exception of a few months in 2018 and 2019. Håkon Lund takes up a new role in the group as a business developer, press contact Aasmund Lund stated earlier this week – without mentioning she, who herself thought she was general manager at the park . Therese Oddsen had a completely different picture of the situation: – I have not been in dialogue with chairman Trond Adland, to whom I report as general manager, about a new contract, and my current contract has not been terminated, Oddsen wrote to news on Tuesday. 15,000 people come to Kongeparken this weekend. Adland has a background as managing director and entrepreneur in the health insurance, dental company, banking and consulting industries. Now he has the formal day-to-day responsibility for the park, which welcomes 15,000 Russians to the national meet this weekend. At the end of November 2022, Adland became general manager of Lund Gruppen Holding. This company is mainly owned by the brothers Håkon, Aasmund and Magnus Lund. Lund Gruppen Holding controls the Kongeparken company Rogaland Fritidspark and the Landstreffet company Lund Gruppen Arrangement. Both are behind the Landstreffet in Stavanger every May, which for many is the highlight of the Russian era. From Landstreffet in 2022. Aasmund Lund assures that this weekend’s Russian meet will go according to plan in any case: – We have a fantastically skilled and experienced operations team that will be in place throughout the national meet weekend, writes Lund, who himself will have the local responsibility for park operations for the next few days. The Russian meeting itself is organized by a sister company to Kongeparken, where Magnus Lund is the general manager.
