2 May 2023 at 16:31 Reuters: Agreement on a seven-day ceasefire in Sudan The news agency Reuters writes that the army commander in Sudan and the commander of the paramilitary group RSF, according to South Sudan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, must “in principle” agree on a ceasefire. The ceasefire is scheduled to apply from 4 to 11 May, writes Reuters. A ceasefire was also introduced last week, but this broke down at the weekend when the attacks on the capital Khartoum were brought up. Sudan has been characterized by major protests after military coup plotters took power in 2021.
