1 May 2023 at 22:04 Pedersen on telephone conversation: – Contributed to my resignation There was long doubt whether the mayor of Tana, Helga Pedersen, would run as a candidate as party secretary for the Labor Party – right up until she announced on Sunday that it was not going to happen. Part of the reason is said to be a telephone conversation she had with Jonas Gahr Støre on Saturday evening, Pedersen tells TV 2. Støre has stated that he did not put any pressure on Pedersen. When asked if this is also her impression, she replies as follows: – I do not want to characterize either the tone or the content of that conversation. But it is clear that it contributed to my withdrawing from voting at the national assembly, says Pedersen to the channel. Støre has said that he did not put any pressure on Pedersen in the conversation. Helga Pedersen also said during her 1 May speech today that the Labor Party is in crisis. Jonas Gaht Støre later told TV2 that he does not agree with Pedersen.
