1 April 2023 at 18:20 Three ministers to Lyngen on Sunday Minister of Justice Emilie Enger Mehl (Sp), Minister of Food and Agriculture Sandra Borch (Sp) and Minister of Fisheries Bjørnar Skjæran (Ap) will visit Tromsø and Lyngen tomorrow to discuss the best possible response after the many landslides in region in the last 24 hours. Four people have so far died in avalanche accidents. The Ministry of Justice announced this in a press release this evening. The ministers will leave Tromsø and be at Lyngseidet at 16. It is expected that the ministers will discuss the use of SMS notification to the residents of the area, and the mayor of the affected municipalities will also be present. The government ministers will also meet aid crews in Lyngen town hall.
