After an exciting quarter-final match between Brann and Sandefjord in torrential rain at Åsane Arena, it was SK Brann who drew the longest straw. Brann thus advances to the semi-finals of the Norwegian football championship for the first time in eleven years. In the first half, Brann took the lead every few minutes. In the 21st minute, the first goal of the match came from Felix Horn Myhre, followed by a score from David Møller Wolfe four minutes later. The ball got past Sandefjord’s goalkeeper Hugo Keto a third time before the end of the half, and after a lot of back and forth it was Mathias Rasmussen who was the last on the ball before it went into the goal. Felix Horn Myhre scored the first goal of the match at a soaking wet Åsane Arena. Photo: Tuva Åserud / NTB Stabæk in the semi-final Who Brann will meet in the semi-final has already been decided. It was definitely not sold out at Åsane Arena, which has a capacity of around 3,000 people. Nevertheless, it was pretty good with free seats in the arena. Brann and Sandefjord last tested their strength in 2021. All have been at the top level, and on Sunday they met for the first time in the NM context. Among other things, they have had a season run-up with a training camp for three weeks in Marbella in Spain. They have also won all the training matches against both Norwegian and Swedish teams in recent weeks.
