About three weeks after Adan died, the police released the names and photos of the two brothers who have been charged with the murder. Then they also said that the brothers, who are from Bærum, were both convicted of terrorism in 2016. Valon (35) was convicted of participating in a terrorist organization and sentenced to four years and six months in prison. According to the verdict, he has been a fighter for IS. Visar (32) was sentenced to eight months in prison for sending money to a terrorist organisation. He must also be previously convicted of violence. Both have served their sentences.
