– Can’t screw up – news Sport – Sports news, results and broadcasting schedule

There hasn’t been a folk festival in Planica these two weeks since the WC started. Graabak believes that there has been a shortage of assistants at all rehearsals, and characterizes it as a sin. Trondheim is the host city of the World Cup in 2025, and now Graabak hopes that the delegations that were present in Planica have observed the same thing as him. – We should avoid making the same mistake that Planica has made, of having ticket prices that are too high. It must be a championship for everyone, and we will create a folk festival, says Graabak to news. Must make arrangements The combined runner is not worried that it will be thin in the stands at home, but believes that one thing is essential to prevent that from happening. But it’s clear that you can’t screw up in terms of ticket prices, says Graabak. He maintains: – Everyone has their limit in terms of what they are willing to pay. We have to make sure that as many people as possible can afford to make the trip, he says. – Do you believe that it will happen? – Yes, I have great faith in that. I’m quite sure that will happen, unless we screw ourselves up. I think we should avoid that, says Graabak. He is clear in his speech: – You want to have as many people as possible in the stadium, and then I hope that they set the prices to facilitate that, says Graabak. – Smart man Åge Skinstad is the WC manager for Trondheim 2025, and he thinks that the combined runner scores good points. – Graabak is a smart man, and has smart sayings. What we must do is that we must differentiate. We think there are people who want to pay quite a lot and be in the VIP grandstand, and then we will have a public grandstand, family arrangements around the track, and so on, he says. There will be both cheap and more expensive tickets, and there will be room for everyone, says Skinstad. Skinstad himself was there during the WC in Planica, and the most important thing he has learned from the event is that it is bigger than a World Cup event, and that audience logistics are important. – Adapting the arena to the number of people who come is perhaps the most important thing. They are good at jumping, but the cross-country stadium is probably a little too big for what is a realistic audience here in Slovenia, says Skinstad. Sustainable Over 25 teams have traveled from Norway to observe the implementation of the WC in order to prepare for the next one on home soil. That speech involves race directors, stadium manager, ski jump managers, operations from Trondheim municipality, mayor, police chief and municipal director. – It will be very important to draw up a specific and clear agreement between the facility owner and the organiser. We have looked at logistics, how it is built with a media centre, and there are pluses and minuses with everything, says Skinstad. The aim of the World Cup in Trondheim is to become the most sustainable skiing World Cup of all time. – How are they going to achieve that? – It focuses on waste management, recovery within energy and use, and we will use electric vehicles. And then there is the social dimension. It is very important to get the people who are not usually into skiing, to like the sport of skiing and enjoy being part of it. There must be room for everyone, he says. Monday, the day after the World Ski Championships 2023 is over, the work starts. – Then we will create commitment, which means that as many people as possible want to come to Granåsen in 2025. I am really happy, he says.
