We will never change that goal. Despite significantly increased raw material and purchasing costs, we are now choosing to lower the prices back to the level before 1 February, so that you as a customer can still be confident that you will get the lowest prices for REMA 1000, says Tom Kristiansen, CEO of REMA 1000 Norway. Coop does the same. This is confirmed by Coop Norge’s director of communications, Bjørn Takle Friis, to VG. – We have adjusted the prices back down to what they were before 1 February, so that we are competitive. Customers can be confident that it is just as cheap, and perhaps cheaper, to shop at Coop Extra as others, says Friis to the newspaper. On 1 February, the prices of groceries increased by an average of 4.8 per cent.
