St. Olav’s Hospital itself has sent several of the reports of concern to the Norwegian Health Authority. – How many serious messages have there been? – There are always some incidents, we are obliged to report all serious incidents directly to the National Health Inspectorate. Since mid-November, there have been 16 reports of danger to life and health. That is 50 percent more than it used to be, according to Aasved. She points out that it is very important to clarify whether these are due to the Health Platform, whether it is a random increase or other reasons. – We hope the inspection will come as soon as possible, and look forward to that review. Would postpone – If you had known all the problems the Health Platform would create for you, would you have agreed to start last November? – It has nothing to do with these events, but if we are talking about e-mails and the systems that failed: If we had known – then we would have asked for another postponement. She points out: – But we had no prerequisites to know that. – Has this been a difficult period? – Yes. E-messages and also drug handling are areas that are critical for patient safety. She adds that a lot of manual work is still done with e-mails, but that they have control now. – Progress is also being made in the pharmaceutical area, but there is still a lot of work to be done there. It is demanding for the employees to constantly make sure that things go well.
