June 17, 2022 at 09:42 BT: Tried to cut off the plane before it crashed Late in the afternoon on Sunday 5 June, shortly before the accident, the plane with missing Lars and Filip Haukeland flew into the controlled airspace to Schiphol without clearance, reports BT. The police helicopter tried to intercept the plane without success. The tower at Schiphol must not have been in contact with the aircraft. The plane must have had a high speed, and the helicopter was therefore unable to catch the plane. The airspace is the fourth busiest, and has an average of over 120 flights every day.
