The Norwegian Immigration Service (UNE) has decided to postpone implementation of the decision pending its new examination of the case. In practice, this means that she does not have to deal with the departure deadline of 28 December, and can now stay in Norway until a new decision is made. UNE expects that a new decision will be available around the turn of the month January-February. Up until this point, she is staying legally in Norway, says her lawyer Alexander Nyheim Jenssen. – Naturally, we are very happy with it, and think it is the right decision, says Nyheim Jenssen. Takako Ellefsen was married to Norwegian Karsten Ellefsen for 43 years. The widow, with a daughter in Stavanger, had her application for residence in Norway rejected, because she does not have comprehensive health insurance. – It is positive that UNE will hopefully see that this decision is invalid, and that it is necessary to process the case again. We have to wait for the result, we have not yet received a new decision, says the lawyer.
