Thousands of football supporters gathered on the Champs-Élysées after Morocco won over Portugal, which sent the country to the semi-finals, writes Reuters. The supporters chanted, waved flags, used horns and set off fireworks among large numbers of deployed police officers. Even more supporters joined in as France also won their quarter-final later in the evening. Footage from Reuters shows people smashing shop windows and getting into a scuffle with the police.
