He is sentenced to forensic psychiatric treatment. The 33-year-old has confessed to the murder of the psychiatrist Ing-Marie Wieselgren on an open street in Visby during the political campaign in Almedalen. He has also admitted to having planned to kill Center Party leader Annie Lööf. Swedish public prosecutors submitted a request that Engström be sentenced to life in prison, while his lawyer has argued that he should be sentenced to mental health care.
