Two people are said to have been killed in the southern region of Zaporizhzhya, says Kyrylo Tymoshenko at the Ukrainian presidential office, according to the news agency. Several houses have been destroyed. In the northern region of Sumy, the attacks are said to have led to power cuts. Further south, the mayor of Mykolaiv says electricity in that region has been cut due to the risk of missile attacks. Water supply is to be cut in the port city of Odesa, the operator reports according to AFP. The regional leader in Kyiv says that air defense for the region is underway. Aircraft alarms were heard in many places in Ukraine on Monday, Reuters reports. They refer to local authorities, who are said to have encouraged the civilian population to seek refuge.
