Recently, there was a stir when the Ghanaian politician Issac Adongo used Maguire in parliament to make a point. There, news expert Carl-Erik Torp believes that England can have another good experience. – England had a bad day against the USA, or they have looked very good in the World Cup so far and done the job. They are big favorites against Senegal, Torp believes. England came to the World Cup with a miserable 2022 in the bag, where three draws and three losses were the result in mandatory games before the championship. Torp thinks in any case that it is too early to report the English. – They have not met very good teams so far, Wales, for example, have been very weak throughout the championship. They haven’t had one proper test, and that was against the USA, and that’s the match they looked the worst in. It’s hard to say how good they actually are. But they have had a very comfortable path to the round of 16, used few players and saved a lot of effort. They are favorites against Senegal, even though the Senegalese team is solid defensively and has a good central line, says Torp. But if you sit down and look at history, how well has England actually done in the World Cup? Isn’t what Southgate has done now the best England has done over a long period of time? The work he has done deserves to survive one bad championship. But football is brutal, and it is doubtful that it will be accepted if England disappoint. Young tells The Sun that he has high hopes for the WC. – When you see how the EC went, I give us every chance to win the tournament. The criticism Gareth Southgate receives is absolutely ridiculous. It is especially the downturn in the Nations League, where England were relegated from level A, that has caused the critics to go after Southgate. – Just because he didn’t take the team into the final in the National League, people think he should be criticized.
