2 December 2022 at 10:01 New Oslo hospital approved The board of Oslo University Hospital (OUS) on Friday morning approved the final plans for the new National Hospital in Gaustad, the new Aker hospital and the closure of Ullevål. The employee representatives on the board voted against the plans. The trade unions believe that the risk in the project related to patient care and finances is unreasonably high. Both the OUS management and the board acknowledge that the risk is great, but the majority believe that the risk of continuing hospital operations in old buildings is even greater. The plans must also be approved by the board of Health South-East. It is scheduled to take place on December 16.
