SAS with 7.6 billion in deficit – Latest news – news

30 November 2022 at 08:00 SAS with 7.6 billion in deficit SAS had a deficit of 8 billion Swedish kroner (7.6 million Norwegian kroner) last year, this is revealed in the annual accounts. This is a decrease of 1.5 billion compared to last year. In the last quarter, the deficit was SEK 1.7 billion. The head of SAS Norway is nevertheless optimistic. – We are starting to see the results of the restructuring that we have worked very hard on. We are able to achieve better agreements with our suppliers, and we see that customers are returning, so there are also bright spots in these results, says Kjetil Håbjørg, CEO of SAS Norway to news. The reason for the deficit is, among other things, the high dollar exchange rate. – In the last quarter, we were hit very hard by changes in exchange rates. This is because we value many of our assets in dollars and when the exchange rate changes, we account for major changes, but the basic operations are improving at SAS, says Håbjørg. Last night the company agreed with the Norwegian cabin crew on a new employment agreement and thus there will be no strike for Christmas.
