Attention: Vehicle Breakdowns and Traffic Alerts

A vehicle has broken down on the Peripheral Ring at the height of Molino del Rey. If you are in the area, please drive with caution.

Weather Warnings

A yellow alert has been activated due to intensifying heavy rains and potential hail for this afternoon and evening across all areas of Mexico City. Rain is currently affecting the Poniente region, specifically in the municipalities of Azcapotzalco and Miguel Hidalgo. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions.

Traffic Conditions

Traffic on the Lázaro Cárdenas Central Axis is experiencing significant delays moving towards the Interior Circuit. Similarly, congestion is reported on Axis 1 NorthInsurgentes Avenue. In contrast, Aquiles Serdan is recording relatively smooth traffic flow from Weapons Causeway towards Mexico-Tacuba.

Abundant traffic can also be observed on Juarez Avenue, extending from Reforma to Central Axis. There’s a notable march originating from Constitution Street entering South Yucatan Avenue, near Eastern Jalisco in the Milpa Alta neighborhood.

Expect vehicular impacts on Paseo de la Reforma Avenue near the National Auditorium due to scheduled events happening at 4:00 PM and 7:30 PM.

The Interior Circuit shows continuous traffic from Grand Canal Avenue to Causeway of Mysteries. Caution is advised on the Interior Circuit, particularly northbound at the height of Avenida 18, due to a vehicular accident.

Good progress is noted on 100 Meter Avenue from Axis 3 North towards Westeros 128, yet traffic remains heavy on Fray Servando Teresa de Mier going from Calz. Saint Anthony Abbot towards Congress of the Union. A viable alternative is the Piedad River Viaduct.

Demonstrations and Blockades

Protesters are conducting informative traffic lights at the intersection of Paseo de la Reforma and Avenida Insurgentes, located in the Cuauhtemoc district. This is generating intermittent effects on local traffic.

Settlements at the intersection of Calz. Iztapalapa Hermitage from Peripheral Ring towards Rojo Gomez might also cause delays.

The Axis 5 South is currently reversed by Gabriel Mancera until Churubusco River Canal to alleviate traffic congestion.

Road Closures

Several road closures have been implemented due to ongoing works:

1. Lane reductions on Av. Sur 122 from Poniente 85 to Av. Río Tacubaya going south; traffic is enabled to reverse in the opposite direction.
2. Closure of Calz. Sand Mines from Sur 122 to Av. de las Torres; local traffic is restricted between the 4th closed of Acueducto and de las Torres Avenue.
3. A reversible lane has been implemented on Av. de las Torres from Av. Río Tacubaya to Calle 2.

Stay updated and drive safely as conditions can change rapidly.
