Bus and Car Collision in Mataderos
An unfortunate accident occurred this Friday morning in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Mataderos, involving a bus and a private car. This collision left at least six people injured at the intersection of Colonel Cárdenas and Monte avenues.
Details of the Accident
The collision took place in the early hours, between a bus from line 126 and a private vehicle. Reports indicate that only the driver was inside the car at the time of the accident. The impact was severe, resulting in noticeable damage to the front of the bus, while the rear of the car sustained significant destruction.
Emergency Response
City Firefighters and personnel from the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) responded promptly to the scene. They began treating injuries immediately. Three individuals received treatment on-site, while two women were rushed to General Acute Hospital Donated by Francisco Santojanni.
A sixth individual, a man, opted to refuse hospital transfer and is currently awaiting the arrival of his Workplace Accident Insurance (ART). The accident has led to a blockage in traffic in the surrounding area.

Coincidentally, there was another traffic incident this morning in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Flores. A collision occurred between a car and a motorcycle on Directory Avenue, between Carabobo and Lautaro streets, near the Plaza de la Misericordia. Initial reports suggest that the car and motorcycle crashed for reasons that are still under investigation.
This second collision resulted in damage to the driver’s side and front of the car. Both incidents highlight the ongoing concerns surrounding road safety in Buenos Aires.
