The Ongoing Inheritance Dispute at Cantora

The recent escapade involving Kiko Rivera has reignited a long-standing family feud surrounding Paquirri’s assets at Cantora. According to reports from Sandra Aladro, it has been alleged that Kiko, son of Isabel Pantoja, has taken numerous items of historical significance that rightfully belong to his half-brothers, Francisco and Cayetano Rivera. This incident adds yet another chapter to a saga fraught with legal battles and deeply rooted family tensions.

Kiko’s Controversial Visit to Cantora

As detailed by Sandra Aladro on the show Just the Right Time, Kiko Rivera allegedly visited the Cantora estate a few days ago, where he reportedly collected at least seven bull heads that were part of Paquirri’s legacy. These artifacts, significant in the bullfighting community, were specified in a will dating back to September 27, 1987, designating them for Francisco and Cayetano Rivera, as well as the Rivera Pérez family. This act not only raises eyebrows but also thrusts Kiko into the media spotlight, underlining the persistence of the inheritance conflict.

Chaotic Scenes at the Estate

The situation escalated dramatically, leading to what the media dubbed “the assault on Cantora.” Eyewitness accounts from Almudena Mateos, a guard at the estate, reveal that Kiko and his partner Lola unceremoniously arrived, allegedly breaking through three garage doors to access the property. To conceal their activities, they strategically positioned vans to shield the loading process from public view, demonstrating a premeditated plan to remove valuable items.

Significant Pieces of Paquirri’s Legacy

Sandra Aladro claims that among the stolen items were seven bull heads, each representing a notable moment in Paquirri’s illustrious career. One particular bull head, deemed the “good luck bull,” holds sentimental value as it correlates with the bullfighter’s memorable opening of the main door in Madrid. According to Paquirri’s will, this piece was intended for the Rivera Pérez family, related to Canales Rivera. Aladro notes that since April 17, this head has been in Kiko’s custody, further complicating the already tense familial relations.

The Will’s Provisions and Family Dynamics

Paquirri’s wishes delineated that his most cherished personal items should be divided among his children, with an emphasis on directing significant legacy pieces to the Rivera brothers. The fact that Kiko Rivera possesses these crucial inheritance elements is likely to escalate the existing friction among Paquirri’s descendants and revive discussions about the age-old conflicts surrounding Cantora.

Planning and Discretion in the Inheritance Acquisition

Aladro reiterated that the entire operation seemed calculated, underlining Kiko’s intention to discreetly remove items without attracting attention. This orchestrated retrieval not only aggravates the succession disputes plaguing Paquirri’s heirs but also highlights unresolved issues persistent for  40 years  since the bullfighter’s death. With both Isabel Pantoja and various Rivera family members embroiled, the fight over legacy assets remains very much alive.
