17 November 2022 at 10:34 Opens case on handling of Ukraine The Storting’s Control and Constitution Committee opens a case on the government’s handling of Ukraine. It was decided during the committee’s meeting on Thursday morning. – We received a proposal today to open a control case against the government, and the committee has decided that, says leader Peter Christian Frølich (H). – The Conservative Party and several other parties got the impression that the processing of Ukraine’s request for help was not handled in a good way, that it was slow and there was a lack of coordination. That’s why we started investigating what had actually happened, Frølich explains about the background to the case. The Labor Party also supported the opening of a control case. – The government has responded well to the committee’s questions. We feel that there is a need to have a debate in the Storting on these questions, and we have not opposed that here, says Lubna Jaffery (Ap) to news. According to Frølich, the control case must be handled in writing, without an oral hearing.
