Since its opening to the public in 1982, the castle has become a beloved landmark. However, Françoise emphasizes the immediacy of the situation: one of the towers is at risk of collapse, the roof of the keep requires urgent attention, and the 15th-century wall restoration is in jeopardy. These repairs are essential to maintain both the structure and its historical significance.
As per the crowdfunding page, the total restoration cost is estimated to be between €600,000 and €700,000. Yet, as it stands, only 109 donors have contributed a mere €13,870, leaving the owner with a substantial funding gap to bridge.
