The Ukrainian arms manufacturer Global Mark announced on Monday, March 2, the upcoming deployment of the Blitz-2, a hybrid reconnaissance and attack drone. Equipped with a double fuselage for increased stability, this aircraft is capable of taking off from unprepared terrain, thereby strengthening Kyiv’s arsenal against Russian forces.
Blitz-2: An Overview
A new aircraft is set to enhance the capabilities of the Ukrainian military. Global Mark announced that the Blitz-2, an improved iteration of the original Blitz, will soon join the ranks of Kyiv’s defense systems. Designed for both striking targets and carrying out reconnaissance operations, the Blitz-2 embodies the innovative spirit of Ukrainian arms development.
According to Military, this drone can be launched from unprepared sites and features landing gear on skis, making it adaptable for a variety of operational environments.
An Improved Version of Its Predecessor
The company released a brief video showcasing the new drone, emphasizing its versatility. The BLITZ-2 is described as “a modern drone designed to perform a wide range of missions: from reconnaissance to high-precision target acquisition. Compact, fast, and efficient even in difficult conditions,” according to Global Mark.

Its predecessor, the original Blitz, boasts a wingspan of 1.5 meters, a length of just over one meter, and a weight of approximately 5 kg. The original Blitz was introduced at the Security 2.0 2025 exhibition in Kyiv just a few months ago.
