June 12, 2022 at 04:25 Fire at chemical plant in Sevierodonetsk Russian bombing has led to a powerful fire at a large chemical factory in the eastern Ukrainian city of Sevierodonetsk. The fire is said to have occurred after several thousand tons of oil leaked from damaged radiators inside the Azot factory on Saturday, reports the BBC. They quote Serhiy Hajdaj who is the governor of Luhansk province. Around 800 civilians are to hide in underground shelters at the factory for advancing Russian forces, according to Ukrainian authorities. The fighting has been going on around the city for over three months and Russian forces now control most of the city.
