This means, among other things, electricity support for, among other things, the business sector. For the business community, this means creating a temporary subsidy scheme for electricity-intensive businesses that will cover both parts of the electricity costs and stimulate investment in energy measures. It has also been decided that NOK 23 million will go to convenience stores to compensate for electricity prices. The agreement also involves more than NOK 1.2 billion in electricity support for the most vulnerable groups in society. Torgeir Knag Fylkesnes, deputy leader of SV, says it is now important that the community stands up for those who are struggling. – The autumn will be a big test of whether we stand up for those who struggle with expenses in times of crisis. Now people are struggling with their electricity bills. Among the measures are: NOK 1,500 extra for students, increased payment for housing benefit for October and November and support for district shops. All of this is to be completed in 2022. In total, the agreement costs NOK 1,253 million.
