Envision a grand automotive circuit that resembles a playground for automotive enthusiasts—BYD’s newly revealed Racing Track in Zhengzhou is anything but ordinary. Here’s a look at what this unique venue has to offer:

  • An impressive, indoor 29-meter high dune.
  • A 70-meter water pool specifically designed for vehicles.
  • A flawlessly constructed, expansive asphalt route.
  • An exhilarating off-road gymkhana featuring uneven terrains, slopes, and gravel.

The Dazzling U8 Dune

The indoor dune constitutes a centerpiece for the Racing Track, rising majestically to 29 meters with a steep incline of 28 degrees, crafted from over six thousand tons of sand sourced from the Alxa desert. This astonishing structure holds a place in the Guinness World Records as the largest indoor dune worldwide.

The Yangwang U8, a luxury SUV equipped with four electric motors, was put to the test scaling this impressive dune. Journalists gathered excitedly, much like eager children anticipating gifts on Three Kings Day, as they watched the vehicle ascend the sandy wall.

The moment the U8 reached the peak, cheers erupted, celebrating the raw power and unshakable control of the vehicle. It seamlessly blended power and precision, invoking the Pirelli motto: “power without control is useless.” The U8 exemplified this balance perfectly.

Where Cars Explore Water

The adventure continued at the wading pool, a 70-meter long stretch dedicated to the U8. Although we weren’t driving, the sensation of being submerged was electrifying. As the water level rose, the vehicle automatically raised its windows and opened the sunroof, demonstrating smart safety features designed to prevent water ingress while preparing for potential escape scenarios.
