15 October 2022 at 14:33 Russian citizen arrested with drone in Tromsø Troms police district arrested a Russian citizen on Friday morning after observations of photography at Tromsø Airport Langnes. The accused is a 51-year-old man who does not live in Norway. According to the accused’s own explanation, he had passed Storskog on Thursday and was on his way to Svalbard, the police state in a press release. The police have seized a large quantity of photographic equipment, including a drone and a number of memory cards. The accused man was produced for remand on Saturday morning, and had a defense attorney appointed on Friday. He is charged with having flown a drone in Norway, and he has been requested to be detained for 4 weeks. – The accused has admitted to having flown a drone in Norway. We will continue with questioning and review of the seizure. Of the seizure that we have reviewed, we have seen, among other things, pictures from the airport in Kirkenes and pictures of the defense’s Bell helicopter.
