13 October 2022 at 16:46 NATO will contribute anti-drone systems to Ukraine During a press conference in Brussels, NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg says that NATO will contribute anti-drone systems and clothing to the Ukrainian forces. He also says that there will be serious consequences if Russia uses nuclear weapons in Ukraine. – Russia knows that a nuclear war cannot be won, and must never be fought, says Stoltenberg. He also says that a scenario where NATO itself may have to use nuclear weapons is extremely far away. – President Vladimir Putin’s nuclear rhetoric is irresponsible, and we take the threats seriously, says the NATO chief. Next week, both NATO and Russia plan to conduct nuclear military exercises. – We have monitored Russia’s preparations for decades, and we continue to do so. The Russian exercise is an annual exercise where they test their nuclear forces, and we monitor it, as we always do. Not least in light of the new threats that have arrived. (news/NTB)
