If you are in the  United States  and plan to purchase a  Microsoft console , time is running out. Just a few days remain before the price of the Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S is set to increase. According to the company’s announcement, these changes will take effect next month.

Microsoft attributes this decision to “changes in the macroeconomic environment.” While they have not elaborated further, it’s clear that current  economic factors  could be influencing their pricing strategy, even if the company stops short of explicitly referencing the ongoing tariff wars.

Notably, this price adjustment is limited to the  United States . In their official statement, Microsoft announced that “prices outside the US are being kept unchanged,” which brings a sense of relief to  European consumers  and other global markets—at least for now.

This marks the  second price increase  Microsoft has enacted this year. Back in May, a global increase was already implemented, affecting not just consoles but also accessories like controllers and headsets. For instance, the Xbox Series S (512 GB), which used to retail for 299.99 euros, experienced a 16.67% price hike to 349.99 euros.

Fortunately for gamers in  Europe , there is no need to brace for another price surge in Microsoft consoles at this moment. Below is a table outlining the  current sales prices (PVP)  in  Spain . Keep in mind that while other markets may experience increases, the exact figures could differ.

This unusual trend in the current generation of consoles, evident also in the case of the PlayStation 5, is that instead of decreasing prices over time,  price hikes  have occurred. This creates uncertainty among gamers about future purchases and what lies ahead in this evolving market. Consumers will need to stay alert and be prepared for potential changes that could affect their buying decisions.
