June 10, 2022 at 08:01 Consumer price index: Highest price growth since 1988 The consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.2 per cent from April to May 2022 and is 5.7 per cent higher than a year ago. This is the highest inflation over 12 months since 1988. The CPI adjusted for tax changes and energy products, the so-called core inflation, rose by 3.4 per cent from May 2021 to May 2022, figures from Statistics Norway show.
