On the morning of August 1, authorities discovered a HELLERA WITH HUMAN REMAINS INSIDE accompanied by a cardboard featuring a NARCOMESAJE. This shocking event took place in the northern part of Culiacán, Sinaloa.

The grim finding occurred around 5:00 AM in a location known as “La Y”, a crossroads connecting the Loma de Rodriguera neighborhood with the community of Palos Blancos in the Tepuche union.

The icebox, a blue container typically used for ice cream, was secured with an orange plastic rope. Images from the scene revealed that the content consisted of human remains, although it has not yet been confirmed if they belong to a single victim.

Next to this icebox was a white card with stones placed on the pavement. The barely legible message contained threats aimed at the areas known as coconuts and caimanes, signed under the alias “His father the bitache.”

Municipal police promptly cordoned off the area, while experts from the State Attorney General initiated their investigations. The remains have been transferred to the Forensic Medical Service (Semefo), where they will undergo expert analyses for identification, as well as comparisons with reports of missing persons.

This incident adds to a day of heightened violence in Sinaloa. In the southern part of Culiacán, near the community of El Diez, police located a deceased male with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was of medium complexion and wore black denim pants along with a long-sleeve shirt. An anonymous tip led authorities to the location early in the morning.

In another tragic event, a guard at an agricultural field was shot dead in the community of Caimanero in the municipality of Elota. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed, and the motive for the attack has not yet been established. The State Prosecutor’s Office has opened investigation files for both incidents.

Simultaneously, a similar occurrence was reported in Baja California. On the morning of July 31, another icebox containing human remains was found in the Natura area of Tijuana, along with a cardboard message directed at Regional Commander Adrián Barrera Reyes of the Municipal Police.

The State Attorney General’s Office indicated that the recovery in Baja California occurred during a routine patrol on the Tijuana-Rosarito corridor around 4:25 AM. When officers examined the interior of the container, they found a lower limb in an advanced state of decomposition. The accompanying message contained threats and accusations against the police official, who allegedly supports an individual with the alias “Cabo 45.” This cardboard was signed by a criminal group identified as “The Chukys.”

Although authorities have yet to establish a direct connection between the incidents in Sinaloa and Baja California, both cases feature alarming similarities: the use of iceboxes for the disposal of human remains and the inclusion of threatening notes. State and federal prosecutors are evaluating potential links between the responsible criminal factions.

These recent discoveries have heightened public concern over the escalating violence associated with organized crime, especially in regions with a history of rivalry among criminal factions.
