– There is agreement on a wage settlement in line with other settlements this year, and air traffic will thus be able to proceed as normal, CEO Torbjørn Lothe of NHO Luftfart tells NTB. Within the front professional framework, mediation started on Thursday, and only at 4 o’clock on Saturday night was the message that the Flight Leaders’ Association and NHO aviation had agreed on a new wage agreement. According to Robert Gjønnes, head of the Norwegian Air Force Association, the parties reached an agreement after just under four hours of overtime. According to NTB, the framework for the settlement must be within the framework of the frontline subject. – Now all that remains is the local negotiations, which will come a little later in the autumn, says Gjønnes. The Air Traffic Controllers Association had announced that two air traffic controllers at Vigra and three at Kjevik would go on strike on Saturday at 9 o’clock if an agreement was not reached.
