In a shocking turn of events, Noémie , a determined contestant from Brittany, found herself eliminated from the latest episode of the reality show Koh-Lanta aired on TF1 . Known for her impressive performances in challenges, the 32-year-old entrepreneur fell prey to a cunning bluff executed by fellow contestants Jérôme the Catalan and Claire . The duo successfully deceived their competitors into believing they possessed a genuine immunity idol, wielding only a fake one to manipulate the game’s dynamics. This strategic subterfuge led to Noémie’s unexpected exit, leaving fans of the show in disbelief.
In an exclusive interview with 20 Minutes , Noémie candidly reflects on this pivotal moment that will undoubtedly be etched in the memories of Koh-Lanta enthusiasts, especially those who follow the show hosted by Denis Brogniart .
What was your mindset going into the council meeting?
I was aware that it would be a tough call for me. In Koh-Lanta , luck always plays a role. I thought perhaps, through some misunderstanding, I could manage to stay in the game (laughs).
Let’s talk about the moment when Jérôme and Claire revealed they had an immunity idol…
At no point did I suspect it was a fake idol. They showed it to us, leaving no room for doubt. However, we were almost certain that this idol couldn’t protect both of them. It seemed improbable, and we thought they were merely playing with us. But they were quite greedy…
Do you regret not forming an alliance with Céline and Gaëlle, the ‘Eastern duo’?
With “what ifs,” we could redo the entire adventure. We should have kept our focus on Claire because, even if she revealed an idol, the outcome of the game didn’t change. It’s important to note that when Jérôme (the Catalan) won his challenge, Claire ended up being the idol holder. We got a bit lost in the game after thirty-five days of various adventures; our clarity was not as sharp.
Forming an alliance with Céline and Gaëlle would have offered a chance to eliminate Jérôme (from the Landes region), an Orange, but I couldn’t have continued in the game knowing I’d voted out another Orange.
Your loyalty cost you your spot in the adventure…
Loyalty defines me, so I have no regrets. I developed very strong ties with Maël and Jérôme (from the Landes ). I wouldn’t have wanted to jeopardize our friendship because it is more significant than the game. Without them, my experience would have been quite different. It was during the hardships that we created the most beautiful stories. The departure of Romane was the moment that bonded the three of us forever. I couldn’t play selfishly.
Even though you left before facing it, were you apprehensive about the orientation challenge?
I wouldn’t have been an enemy to the others in that challenge, that’s for sure. I was apprehensive, as it requires concentration, methodology, and searching—qualities I find challenging.
And the poles competition?
I could have been a formidable opponent because, as I demonstrated, I’m quite strong in terms of balance. This challenge didn’t scare me at all.
You were formidable in many challenges…
The challenge with Maxime , as a duo, particularly stood out. With him, I had a good shot at winning. He quickly consumed several insects. In the balance challenge, I was the one supporting the duo. We complemented each other perfectly. I didn’t know him well before he was eliminated, but he returned with a vengeance in the adventure. Consequently, I was a bit wary of him. Nonetheless, this comfort allowed me to get to know him better. He was genuinely funny—an escape within the game.
What would you like people to remember about you?
Loyalty above all. I stand firm in my beliefs. I do not betray. I leave Koh-Lanta proud, with my head held high.
Do you draw any lessons from your adventure?
Yes, I learned to trust myself more and to be bolder. It’s good to take more risks. Initially, I knew I had resilience, but after Koh-Lanta , my mindset is even more fortified.
How did your loved ones react?
My husband was shocked by our conditions in the game, especially regarding food. He admired me throughout the experience and recognized me in all my actions, which was incredibly gratifying.
