On a delightful evening of cabaret, mother-and-daughter duo  Chantal Lauby  and  Jennifer Ayache  graced the Artishow Cabaret in the 11th arrondissement of Paris on June 2nd. They attended a vibrant new drag revue, sharing the joyous moment with various other personalities.

Dressed in perfectly coordinated  black and white , Chantal and Jennifer posed for photos alongside their table companions, including renowned figures such as  Anne Roumanoff ,  Ysa Ferrer ,  Alex Goude ,  Princess Erika , and  Nicoletta  with her husband  Jean-Christophe . The audience was treated to a spectacular performance by the drag queens, who paid homage to iconic French artists like  Edith Piaf ,  Mireille Mathieu ,  Chantal Goya , and  Véronique Sanson .

Public outings of Chantal Lauby and her only daughter, aged 41, are a rare sight. The last time they were photographed together was back in 2019 while celebrating the  25th anniversary of the film “La Cité de la peur”  at the Cannes Film Festival. “We are practically  connected at the hip , she and I. I raised her alone,” the 77-year-old actress shared with  Causette  magazine in 2016. “We are both artists. When one of us stumbles, the other is right there to support her.”

Jennifer Ayache: Touring This Summer with Superbus

The bond between mother and daughter goes beyond familial affection; it’s a collaboration of two creative worlds. Jennifer Ayache, the talented singer of pop-rock band  Superbus , has experienced her share of comparisons. “We are constantly compared, and it hasn’t always been easy,” she explained to  Paris Match  that same year. “However, people have started to move past that because we operate in entirely different  arenas .”

Aside from her performances with Superbus, Jennifer made headlines earlier this year with a new version of her song  “Lola” , featuring  Hoshi  and  Nicola Sirkis . She has been performing this revamped hit during her festival tour, leading to further concerts scheduled for the upcoming fall.

A Special Mother-Daughter Bond

The relationship between Chantal and Jennifer is characterized by a deep mutual understanding and artistic synergy. Having raised her daughter solo, Chantal expresses immense pride in Jennifer’s career and accomplishments. As an actress and comedian, Chantal has paved her path in French entertainment, while Jennifer has forged her identity in the music industry. Their support for each other highlights the strength of their relationship, and it openly reflects the dual challenge they face as women in the arts.
