This was said by Prime Minister and party leader Jonas Gahr Støre in a speech to the Labor Party’s national board today. The backdrop is a Europe characterized by the war in Ukraine, the energy crisis and high price growth. – Something extra will be required of us. There will be quite a bit of noise when we present a state budget that redistributes and prioritizes to ensure the most important things: work for people, welfare for those who need it. We will stand in that fight, said Støre. Large expenses for the Armed Forces, national insurance and the welfare state must be paid in next year’s state budget, without the use of more oil money, warns Støre. – We have to stand in it together, even if there is a row, when there is a row.
