Last fall, the investigation of the death was dropped by Spanish police. The closure was appealed, and on Thursday this week it was dropped by the Appeal Court in Fuengirola, says lawyer Are Bohne to Dagbladet. It was night until September 13, 2023 that 21 -year -old Anne Mathea Morken was found dead on the street in the Spanish resort town of Torremolinos. She was found between two cars by a bunch of youngsters. Relatives disappointed – the relatives are of course disappointed and want peace of mind. Now there are no more legal opportunities, says Bohne to Dagbladet. Two men were charged with the case. One of them was arrested and then released last summer. The arrest of one man occurred during a routine check. The man tried to reach a bus on his way to Lisbon in Portugal and brought with him false documentation. According to a press release from Spanish police, the man was arrested and charged with murder, documentation, for violations of traffic rules, and for leaving the dark after her death. Lawyer Are Bohne tells Dagbladet that they have done everything they can via the law office in Spain and that they are no longer coming. The main theory of the police has previously been that the accused gave her the drugs that led to her death. They have not been able to find evidence that this was what happened, and the case is thus closed. The friends of Anne Mathea Morken posted a picture and lit candles where she was found dead.
